Hello and Happy Monday to you

Here is a little peek at what I was up to this weekend...

Photo 1: Soup Saturday

Earlier in the week, the seasons were looking like they were going to change into more autumnal weather so I decided that soup was in order for the weekend.  I found a recipe for autumn veggie soup including leek, carrots, potato, tomato, chickpeas, and rosemary that looked yummy.  After the grocery store run though, the weather decided to change its mind and have another 80-degree weekend.  No matter though, the soup turned out quite nice and will probably be becoming a staple for this winter.

As it gets closer and closer into cooler weather I cannot help but think about how cozy it will be when I get to wear all my sweaters again.  Most of my sweaters [and my closet in general] is filled with basic supporter pieces.  I've always loved the look of statement pieces but I seem to always talk myself out of them for a more sensible basic item.  Well, I decided to finally go for it with this french hen sweater and I couldn't be happier!

Photo 3: Movie Night

Over the weekend, we decided to watch a few films one of which was Miss Meadows.  This is a film about an elementary school teacher who is also a vigilante and it is one of those films where you can't tell if it was meant to be quirky or just ended up that way.  I cannot say I advise you to watch it or not to either.  It was quite odd and I truly can't wrap my head around it still.

I hope your weekend was equally as enjoyable.  Cheers to an extra productive week ahead!
